What are RF's?

RF is the abbreviation for Radio Frequency.

Radio frequencies (RF) are part of the non-ionizing electromagnetic spectrum. Radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) radiation are electromagnetic radiation in the frequency ranges 3 kilohertz (kHz) to 300 Megahertz (MHz), and 300 MHz to 300 gigahertz (GHz), respectively.

Radio frequency (RF) fields, which also include microwaves, are the type of non-ionizing radiation known as "pulsed microwave radiation" that is emitted from cell phones, cell towers, cordless phones (DECT), WiFi routers and modems, smart meters, baby monitors, microwave ovens, radio and television broadcasting towers, tablets, iPads, iPods, wireless video games, computers, wireless cameras, and all other devices which use wireless technology.

In 2011, The WHO/International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B), based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer, associated with wireless phone use. Reference.
